Playing for Change

Every little positive thing has an impact.

I am often touched by all the ways that people give and make a difference in the world.  Whether it is a smile from the store clerk, or a driver letting you cut in front of them, to the people who help charities, or make music that enlivens people and makes them happy.  Every little thing that is done in selfless service makes a mark, and it is a lasting one.

Sometimes I think we have no idea how much we affect each other.  Seeing the glass as half full, being optimistic, praising one another, extending gratitude for the little things (and big!) it all makes a positive difference.

Mahatma Gandhi said, "We must be the change we want to see in the world."

To be as we wish others to be.  To be an example of positivity.  To laugh at the little things and to take nothing seriously.  To shine and stand tall, even if it makes others uncomfortable.

This was sent to me, and I hope you like it too.

"The United Nations Population Fund is lead an innovative global campaign to bring awareness. They wanted to reach 7 billion people. But 7 Billion people means 7 Billion hearts. Music has always been the best way to speak to the hearts of the people. Playing For Change has partnered with the United Nations to present an original song around the world to serve as an anthem for such an important time: "United."

They traveled across the globe, put headphones on musicians, added them to the track, and created a video that can serve as a tangible example of something positive we can all do together as a human race.

Lets inspire each other. Lets everybody get involved and join us on in this journey, so that together we leave this world better than we found it."
- From the "United" track website."

This video is amazing from a music stand point but even greater on a human level. What lovely voices and the thought that we all need to live as one. We are all one - if only others would know and understand that too. I'm so thankful for your teaching of meditation.

Love to all.
