What you focus on, grows.

 

When you focus on thoughts - especially with the intention of getting rid of them, all you see is more thoughts. If you focus on the stillness, presence and awareness that the AAs align you with? You will get more of that, regardless of how many thoughts there are.

 

When you focus on the fact that you forgot, you will live a life consumed by forgetting. If you focus on now, when you can remember, you will live a life full of remembering - AND you will always have another chance to remember again.

 

This is not a path of getting rid of thoughts or never forgetting. It is a path of remembering to focus on the part of your experience that is always here, now, regardless of thinking or forgetting.

 

And you CAN fully and completely bring your attention to that right now, and all is well.
