Let Go

I learned the Ishayas’ Ascension techniques a good number of years ago, after a long search for peace and tranquility. My first contact was when I was invited to listen to an introductory talk. In it the monks spoke of peace and love and that it was attainable in this life; that I could be happy no matter what was happening.

The Path Of Return

All true spiritual pursuits are a return to an experience some of us have yearned for for years. This longing can be like a distant echo in the back of our minds, or for some, it is a haunting feeling that there is more to life than the one they may be living.
The desire to return to this natural experience may have become so prominent that no other desire in life comes close to fulfilling this path of return. Whatever the stage of development we may find ourselves on, this path of return is for everyone and anyone. In truth, every one of us is already on the path, the important question is whether this desire is conscious or not.

The Journey Of Attention

Before we dive into this exploration of Attention, let me ask you a question: are you here because you really want to know more about Attention, or have you unconsciously clicked your way here? Regardless of how you found these words, I want you to be open to the idea that you have the ability to choose where to direct your attention. How you use that power choice transforms your experience of life.

Awakening

I want to share with you about “Awakening”, and how this has been for me over the years that I have practiced the Ishaya Ascension techniques.
When I was 15 years old, I felt a giant emptiness inside of me. I felt it when I opened my eyes in the morning, when I got on the bus to go to high school. I felt it all the time,  and there was a powerful sense that there had to be something more to life, something more significant than the constant anxiety, the constant sadness, the constant disconnection that I felt.

Resist Nothing

Have you ever asked yourself, “What is my heart’s greatest desire?”. It is such an important question to ask and such an important question to find the answer to. It is worth time to contemplate, soul-search and discover the answer.
I will be presumptuous and assume that as you are reading this, it is a safe bet that your answer will be one of the top five universal answers: Peace, Love, Joy, Freedom or Purpose. Or something very similar.

Devotion And Selfless Service

How can we transfer something that belongs to the world of the intangible to the world of “real life things”? To speak of Devotion is to enter the world of the subtle, that world full of magic where the emotions that generate the noblest feelings are born.
For me, the most accurate synonym for devotion would be “Love”. For if devotion is born out of recognition and veneration for something or someone who inspires us, that is love.

Living From Stillness

As much as I would have disbelieved, living from inner stillness in a busy world is possible. In fact, being able to make that a choice you consciously make leads to a bigger adventure of living.
Living from an experience of Stillness can be the most natural thing. When I first heard that, it was like music to my ears, like magical shimmering sunlight on the ocean water. However, the reality of living like that is even more magical.

Guests Of Mystery

Sitting in front of the computer (like you, perhaps, as you read these lines), I hear the song of a bird in the background. A smile, mine. The happiness of being able to listen to Life singing.
We are guests of the mystery of this moment. Not only of what it contains (the bird, the song, the happiness) but of what it is in itself: Consciousness.

Don’t Complicate Your Path – Just Let Go

Have you ever considered enlightenment, self-realisation, or freedom? What does that mean? What would your experience be like when you were that?
Let’s start by looking at what your experience is now. What does a typical day look like? There might be a bit of thinking, pondering about the past, reliving the last conversation with a family member or the boss that didn’t play out the way you wanted.
